Using Visual Supports for Transitions! (Chatham)

For parents/caregivers of children/youth with ASD who are registered in the Ontario Autism Program.

What to Expect

An in-person workshop for parents/caregivers of children with ASD

Join us in Chatham to learn how visual supports can help bring structure and predictability to March Break at home.

During this in-person educational opportunity for parents and caregivers (please do not bring your child/youth to the event), you will learn practical visual strategies to support routines, transitions, and daily activities during less structured days.

Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about the strategies, practice using them, and take visual support materials home. Strategies will include first/then boards, visual schedules, choice boards, and to-do/all done boards. Discussions will also focus on how to set up and teach visual supports in a way that works best for your child and your family.

This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children with ASD. All materials will be provided.
