For TVCC clients, 6-8 yrs or 9-12 yrs, residing within Elgin-Middlesex-Oxford, Grey-Bruce, and Huron-Perth counties.
What to Expect
This exciting March Break workshop is an invitation to explore creativity through the senses. This experience focuses on process art—art that celebrates exploration rather than the final product.
During the workshop, participants will engage in hands-on activities that encourage them to experiment with textures, colours, and materials. We will incorporate mindfulness to encourage connection with our senses, build self-regulation skills, and enjoy the calming rhythm of creative expression.
This supportive, sensory-rich environment allows children to create at their own pace, build confidence, and experience art in a way that feels joyful, accessible, and empowering.
Through this program, participants will:
- Meet and interact with fellow TVCC clients
- Build self-regulation and self-awareness skills
- Foster self-confidence and improve emotional well-being through creative expression
Participant Criteria:
- TVCC clients ages 6 - 8 yrs (Juniors) or 9 - 12 yrs (Seniors)
- Interest and willingness to participate in the activities
- Able to participate safely in group activities; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them
- Able to independently follow along with a group with or without accommodations
