What to Expect
Join TVCC, in partnership with the Children's Health Foundation (CHF), Beck Hearing Aid Centre and our friends at the StarTech YMCA Community Centre for an exciting opportunity to beat the winter boredom with the Winter Walk and Roll program!
This new program invites your family to take advantage of the beautiful public access walking track, as-well as participate in weekly specialized programming (schedule below).
Happening on February 28 and March 7, this program is a wonderful opportunity to get active and build community! Each week will feature open access to the walking track, opportunities to connect with other TVCC families, and access to TVCC and partner organization staff, who will be available to answer questions.
You can also look forward to the following programming:
February 28th: Seated Yoga! Two thirty minute sessions of seated yoga, guided by a YMCA yoga instructor will be taking place at 11:45am & 12:30pm for clients and siblings.
March 7th: Arts and Crafts with TVCC Wellness! Join the TVCC Wellness team in some therapeutic and fun arts and crafts, as a relaxing and fulfilling break to your walk. A variety of crafts including bracelet making, scrapbooking, colouring and vision boarding will be available.
Open access to the community walking track, café area, and lounge are also available on both dates and Beck Hearing Aid Centre staff will be on site to clean and inspect hearing aids, do minor repairs and answer any hearing related questions. They will also have samples of their custom earplugs there for people to see and touch.
We look forward to welcoming your family and enjoying this chance to get active together this winter!
Participant Criteria:
