Creative Capturing: Film Photography Workshop (12 yrs+)

TVCC Youth with disabilities & their siblings, 12 yrs+, who reside within Elgin/Middlesex, Huron/Perth, Grey/Bruce & Oxford County.

What to Expect

Every person has a different story to tell, and learning how to harness the power of photography is a great way to tell them! Through the use of disposable film cameras and our voices, we can share our experience!

This program will be split into two sessions, which will be as follows:

July 14th: In this first session we will introduce the program, with short presentations from our Wellness Youth Mentor, Ben Goldstein, Derek Neeb from our Social Work team and Sindy DeBenedictis from Ability Awareness & Kids on the Block! We will then show our group how to use the cameras and discuss the type of story each of them want to tell.

Note: Creative Connections will also be running from 1-3 on the 14th of July, we will have the room setup with activities to hang out and wait the 30 minutes between programs if your youth is interested in registering for both programs.

August 11th: In the second session, we will spend the first portion of time looking over our photos, sharing our favourites with new friends and discussing the type of story we can tell with them! After this, we will have a showcase period where everyone can share their story if they wish!
