What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior and how it is influenced by the environment. It involves applying techniques based on principles of learning to improve socially significant behaviors. Our team works with each family to select the ABA curriculum and set goals according to their individual needs.

ABA therapy can help children develop in the following areas: 

  • Developing critical communication and language skills
  • Reducing aggression and disruptive behaviors
  • Facilitating integration of the child into peer learning and playgroups
  • Improving performance in the academic setting
  • Encouraging independence in self-care tasks such as dressing, eating, and hygiene
What is the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)?

The Ontario Autism Program (OAP) offers support to families of children and youth on the autism spectrum.

Children and youth who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by a qualified professional are eligible for the program. Children receive services and supports until the age of 18.
