For TVCC youth with disabilities and siblings, aged 12 yrs +.
What to Expect
We will create a personal Junk Journal and explore how this can be a good tool to keep a record of fun experiences, write down ideas and feelings or simply collect items (stickers, papers, quotes, doodles etc.) that we like!
This program will support participants with communicating with other youth in a fun and creative manner. We will share simple tips and techniques to personalize a journal as well as pratice our doodling, colouring and decorating skills.
All abilities welcome! Participating in this workshop can potentially help create new friendships, encourage socializing and meeting peers, and learning new recreational skills. We will also talk about writing and doodling as a powerful tool to help cope with big feeling and tough situations, an important skill to help with self regulation!
Participants can attend one or both sessions as our content will be different each time.
