Cancelled or Missed Appointments

You are the most important member of the team, and we want to work with you toward your goals. We understand if you need to cancel for illness or emergency. See below:

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

Call your clinician with as much advance notice as possible. We are often able to make this time available to someone else in need.

All staff phone numbers and email addresses are available at: https://www.tvcc.on.ca/contact-us.

You may leave a confidential voicemail message at any time. If you do not remember your clinician’s name, that is okay.

In that case, please leave a message on TVCC’s Main Phone:
519.685.8700
     (inside London calling area)
1.866.590.8822 (toll free)
     (outside London calling area)

What if I miss an appointment?

Call right away. We will connect with you to plan next steps.

What if I arrive late for an appointment?

It is important to arrive on time to ensure you and other families get the most out of your appointment.

As soon as you know you are going to be running late, give us a call. Typically, we are unable to start your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late.

What if I need to miss a Purchased Services appointment for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)?

Sessions missed without 24 hours' notice will not be rescheduled.

What if I change my contact information?

We need to be in touch regularly. Please let your clinician know as soon as your contact information changes (i.e., phone number, email, address). You may also email intake [at] tvcc.on.ca (subject: Updated%20Contact%20Information) (intake[at]tvcc[dot]on[dot]ca) with your updated contact information.
