We are currently recruiting for a contract, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Physiotherapist in Early Childhood Services. The successful candidate will provide services in Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford counties. The designated office for this position is London. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible and end in February 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Provide screenings, assessments, consultation and intervention for children from birth to school entry;
- Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes the family, other care providers, and community agencies;
- Provide intervention within the Life Needs Model and the Tiered Model of Service in the community, our regional office(s) and/or client homes;
- Prepare and support clients and their families in the transition to school;
- Provide education for clients, families and community partners;
- Participate in ongoing program and service development;
Qualifications:
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario;
- Experience working with children, youth and families is preferred;
- Current knowledge of best practices and literature related to disability, family and community development and the Life Needs Model;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work well within an inter-professional team;
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office 365 and videoconferencing software (ex. Teams);
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required;
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR;
- Ability to provide services in French is considered an asset.
