We are currently recruiting to fill a regular, full time Manager, Clinical Services position in the Early Childhood, School-Age and Adolescent Program (ECSAAP). This position is expected to begin in July 2025.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the TVCC Preschool Speech and Language (PSL) program, including tykeTALK, Grey Bruce PSL and contracted community service providers. The Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the team and services. This position will report to the Director of Early Childhood, School-Age and Adolescent Program and work collaboratively with other ECSAAP Managers.
The designated office for this position is London. Occasional travel to regional sites will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) guidelines, established clinical framework, TVCC policies, and program procedures and practices;
- Ongoing development of clinical, educational and evaluative activities to best meet the needs of the clients, caregivers, TVCC clinicians and community service providers, in alignment with the Life Needs Model of Paediatric Service Delivery and MCCSS deliverables;
- Develop, coordinate and monitor processes to facilitate the system’s effectiveness and efficiency of services provided within TVCC and the system (e.g., contracted Service Provider Organizations);
- Oversight of coordinated system of service delivery, facilitate integrated service system planning, within and outside the PSL region, to ensure effective program delivery within the PSL region;
- Caseload planning and workload distribution;
- Monitor and report on benchmark performance indicators for TVCC, Ministries, and Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) purposes (e.g., using key program data in AlayaCare, the Health Child Development-Integrated Services for Children Information System – ISCIS);
- Recruitment, orientation, retention, and development of new staff;
- Supervision and support for a diverse group of staff, including development through coaching, mentoring and facilitating growth for staff working across a large geography;
- Educate, provide training and monitor safe work practices, and ensure that staff work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&SA) and within the policies and procedures established by TVCC, including the Collective Agreement;
- Liaise, collaborate, educate, and network to enhance internal and external partnerships;
- Participate as an active member of the TVCC leadership team;
- Engage in and/or lead internal and external committees on behalf of TVCC;
- Manage the PSL budgets, including approvals of timesheets, purchase orders and expense claims;
- Participate in a system of coverage with ECSAAP leadership and a system of on-call coverage and support for clinical evening/weekend hours on a rotating basis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree in a healthcare, education, social sciences or business/administration field;
- 3 years minimum leadership related experience in a progressively responsible position, demonstrating the ability to lead others using a strength and relationship based approach
- Relevant leadership training and demonstrated commitment to on-going leadership education and skill development;
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable standards of clinical practice an asset;
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, with experience in mentorship and coaching;
- Knowledge and understanding of paedatric services and the needs of the client population TVCC serves;
- Project management aptitude including planning, implementation, data collection and analysis with a proven record in meeting program objectives and deliverables;
- Demonstrated ability to lead change in a complex environment that requires clinical excellence, continuous learning, innovation and research.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate conflict resolution, negotiate beneficial outcomes, and support collaborative solutions;
- Able to handle multiple demands and priorities, delegate, and manage time effectively;
- A consistent, mature, positive approach;
- Excellent computer skills; including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs and videoconferencing software;
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a vehicle;
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
Salary Range: $105,324 - $123,912
