For TVCC Youth with disabilities and a sibling (a family member or close friend) who are 12 yrs + and reside within Elgin/Middlesex, Huron/Perth, Grey/Bruce & Oxford County.
What to Expect
Get ready to get cozy and dance the night away at our Jammin’ in Jammies Winter Dance!
Slip into your favorite pajamas, and join us for a night packed with music, games, snacks, and cozy winter vibes. It’s the perfect way to kick off the winter season with your friends and siblings!
This fun, teen event is open to ages 12 yrs + — Everyone’s welcome to come hang out, laugh, and make some awesome memories.
Join us for a warm, wintry night of fun you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget your PJs and your best dance moves! Wearing PJs is optional, please dress in whatever way is most comfortable for you!
A informal coffee and conversation will be available for parents upstairs.
Participant Criteria:
- TVCC clients and their siblings, cousins, and friends (ages 12 yrs +)
- Interest and willingness to participate in social dance
- Able to participate safely in a group setting; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them
Youth are welcome to bring any adaptive equipment or support items to support their participation (i.e. noise reducing headphones, comfort items)
This program is hosted by TVCC Horizons' Youth Services and the TVCC Wellness Project. The Wellness Project is a four-year program aimed at rebuilding and enhancing mental wellness for youth and their families. We understand that the past few years have brought unique challenges, and we want to help. We are running programs with a focus on connection, mindfulness, physical activity, and new skills.
Parents and caregivers are also welcome to stay on site and attend a concurrent informal parent program hosted by Wellness Project Parent Mentor and Social Worker. Feel free to enjoy a coffee, ask questions or simply chat and connect with other parents.
