Family Arts and Crafts (6 yrs +)

for TVCC clients, 6 yrs +, and their families who reside within Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce counties.

What to Expect

Family Arts and Crafts is an inclusive, hands-on workshop for children and youth with disabilities and their families to create, connect, and have fun together. 

Through guided arts and crafts activities, participants can explore their creativity, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful shared experiences in a welcoming and supportive environment. The program encourages self-expression, family engagement, and social connection while offering activities that are adaptable to a range of abilities.

Participant Criteria:

  • TVCC clients ages 6 and older and their families
  • Interest and willingness to participate in the activities
  • Able to participate safely in group activities
  • Able to follow along with a group independently or with the support of a parent/caregiver
  • Able to remain in a group setting for the duration of the program (i.e. does not require frequent breaks outside of room/group; remains with group; tolerates others in their space) 
  • Does not engage in behaviours that are harmful or dangerous to themselves or others 
  • Has a reliable method of communicating their wants and needs

Dates/Times:  Wednesdays, July 22, 5:30-6:30 p.m. &/or August 12, 2026, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
