For TVCC clients, aged 12 yrs+, who are able to work independently on their project. Support workers are welcome.
What to Expect
Our clients 12 - 19 yrs are invited to participate in this workshop designed to promote creative exploration.
The youth will be encouraged to create different structured art or craft projects, using different mediums and approaches during Creative Connections. They will also be supported to make it their own. Youth who need additional support are welcome to bring a support person. All materials will be supplied.
In this series, Youth will work on building creative and artistic leisure skills, strengthening existing fine motor and planning skills, and make connections with other youth who have similar interests.
Participant criteria:
- TVCC clients ages 12-19 yrs
- Able to participate in group and engage in artistic expression with or without accommodations/support persons
The session on December 16th additionally coincides with Caregivers Connecting. This group is led and supported by Parent Mentors and the Social Work team at TVCC and is a great way to share and receive information on family workshops, events, practical guidance, resource navigation tips and relevant community resources. Parents and caregivers are invited to additionally register for this program and learn more about what TVCC has to offer caregivers while the youth enjoy crafting!
