For TVCC clients, 10-24 months, accompanied by a parent/caregiver residing within Elgin-Middlesex-Oxford, Grey-Bruce, and Huron-Perth counties.
What to Expect
Baby Bubbles is a baby and parent/caregiver swim group focused on building comfort and confidence in the water.
Recreation Therapists will guide parents and caregivers in supporting their child in fun and interactive water-based activities. We will focus on introducing early swim skills through engaging, play-based activities that promote comfort in the water, fostering a love for the water, and learning about other TVCC and community-based swim opportunities.
This is a Therapeutic Recreation Functional Intervention group that focuses on the following goals:
- Water Confidence: feel comfortable in water and feel comfortable in a pool setting
- Water-Positive Attitude: develop a positive connection with water through play.
- Water Skills: learn early swim skills assisted by a parent/caregiver, including active movement, floating, moving on their stomach.
