We are recruiting for one (1) full time (37.5 hours per week), regular, Corporate Communications Lead.
The Corporate Communications Lead plays a vital role in promoting a robust understanding of TVCC’s mission and services across the communities we serve. This role is responsible for creating compelling, accessible, and inclusive content that reflects our values, celebrates the journeys and accomplishments of clients, and supports family-centred care.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Corporate Communications Lead will work collaboratively across the organization to lead multi-platform communications, including social media, digital storytelling, video, educational resources, and newsletters.
The designated office for this position is London. This position is expected to begin November 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Create and coordinate content that promotes awareness of TVCC’s mission and impact, organizational initiatives, and client storytelling with a focus on:
o Social media campaigns and content (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
o Website and blog content that highlights services, programs, and client stories
o Monthly family newsletters and internal staff communications
o Production of the annual report and other external communications
o Educational materials such as tip sheets, infographics, and brochures
o Short-form video production - Work collaboratively with program teams to respectfully share the voices, journeys, and accomplishments of clients and families
- Lead TVCC clinicians in the development of program specific materials for clients and families (e.g., handouts, videos, webpages)
- Translate complex or clinical concepts into plain-language content suitable for reaching a wide audience
- Ensure all content meets accessibility and inclusion standards (e.g., AODA, WCAG, plain language, alt text)
- Work collaboratively with the TVCC Leadership Team and Corporate Marketing Lead to recommend and execute corporation-wide and program specific communication plans
- Maintain and implement a content calendar aligned with strategic priorities and awareness initiatives
- Track digital performance using basic analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights) and provide regular reports
- Maintain and update web content using a content management system (CMS) such as Drupal or WordPress
- Provide layout and editorial support for internal and external newsletters and campaigns
- Support adherence to TVCC’s brand and style guidelines across all communications
- Develop internal how-to guides and templates for staff use
- Assist with community outreach initiatives, internal engagement campaigns, and special projects as needed
- Work with Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) to partner and collaborate on social media posts, events, recruiting client ambassadors and projects
- Other communications-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4 Year undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a communications or digital media role (experience in a non-profit or health care setting is an asset)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility
- Proficiency in:
o Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or Rush)
o Video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut, iMovie)
o Social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hey Orca, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later)
o Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
o Content management systems (Drupal or WordPress – Drupal is an asset) - Experience with strategic communication, public relations, crisis communication, customer relations and coordinating with volunteer management.
- Familiarity with AODA, plain language writing, and inclusive communications principles
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
- Collaborative, flexible, and mission-driven approach to work
- Bilingual (English/French or other languages relevant to Ontario communities) is strongly preferred
- Experience with fundraising communications and grant writing is an asset
Salary Range: $39.81/hour - $49.76/hour
