Who is it for?
This workshop is intended for parents/caregivers of children/youth with ASD.
What is it about?
Some fun activities to attend with your child or youth are family and public events. Necessary outings may be hair cuts, doctor's or dentist visits. Events with high sensory stimulation along with new behaviour expections may overwhelm a child with autism. You and family members may be stressed when thinking about going out with your child nevermind concerns about health and hygiene and staying aware of new safety rules in this uncertain time. Join this guided conversation, led by a Family & Community Consultant, to learn strategies that may help you to prepare for essential outings and events with your child or youth with autism. We will explore ways to be safer while helping your child to feel calm and more cooperative during public outings.
