Mindful Music Mondays

TVCC Youth with disabilities, and siblings/friends, 12 yrs -21 yrs  who reside within Elgin/Middlesex, Huron/Perth, Grey/Bruce & Oxford County.

What to Expect

The Wellness Project welcomes youth to explore music and creative expression.

Engaging in creative activities can be a powerful way to manage stress and promote mental wellness.

Participants will take turns choosing songs to listen to, and while they're listening they're invited to work on their favourite hobby. This could be drawing, colouring, building something out of Lego, knitting/crocheting, or anything that the youth enjoys doing. Printable colouring pages will be shared for those who would like them.

At the end of each session, everyone will share what they've been working on. Whether you're dealing with a tough day at school, feeling anxious or overwhelmed, or just looking for a fun and low-pressure way to spend your time, this group is for you!

The Wellness Project is a three-year program aimed at rebuilding and enhancing mental wellness for youth and their families. We understand that the past few years have brought unique challenges, and we want to help. Over the next three years, we'll be running programs with a focus on connection, mindfulness, physical activity, and new skills.
