Occupational Therapists

We are currently recruiting for:

  • A part-time (30 hours per week) permanent Occupational Therapist in Early Childhood Services. The designated office for this position is London.

  • A full-time (37.5 hours per week) contract Occupational Therapist in Early Childhood Services. The designated office for this position is London. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible and end at the end of March 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide screenings, assessments, consultation and intervention for children from birth to school entry; 
  • Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes the family, other care providers, volunteers, staff from other agencies and other Centre staff;
  • Provide community intervention that is direct or mediated, individual or group and changes as needs and goals change;
  • Prepare and support children and families in the transition to school;
  • Provide education for clients, families and others;
  • Participate in planning services as part of a team including care providers, volunteers, staff from other agencies and other Centre staff;
  • Provide community and Centre-based intervention  within the Life Needs Model of Service; 
  • Participate in service development and evaluation;
  • Participate in and /or integrate and share current research/literature on disability, family and community development;
  • Supervision of students and support personnel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario;
  • Experience in pediatrics is preferred;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting;
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office Suite 2010 and videoconferencing software (ex. Zoom)
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle are required;
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification;
  • Ability to provide services in French would be an asset.
