Kids On-Track (KOT) rests on the notion that children can be supported to develop their potential through the development of critical thinking skills. The core feature of the Kids On-Track program is the use of the "Cognitive Enrichment Advantage" method (CEA) which has been developed and researched by Katherine Greenberg.
CEA is based on the notion of helping children discover their own learning strategies.

Herb Regalo (TVCC Multi-media Technician) drew icon pictures that help children discover the meaning of the 20 CEA critical thinking skills. The icon pictures make complex notions about Self Regulation, Problem Identification, Making Comparisons, or Exploration ‘working’ ideas for all school-aged children. These icon pictures are now available for download as 'pdf" or ‘gif’ files for inclusion in Smart Board activities (see tip sheet for Smart Boards), hard copy posters or desk cue cards.
