Thames Valley Children’s Centre and its five Lead Partner Agencies are pleased to offer “ABA-based services” to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in Southwestern Ontario.
“ABA-based services” provides personalized treatment groups, and individual interventions designed to help children and youth with ASD develop skills in the areas of:
- behaviour/emotional regulation,
- social/interpersonal, or
- daily living skills.
We coach parents and caregivers to use ABA strategies so they can help their children maintain and generalize these skills.

What to Expect
We will contact you to discuss your child’s strengths and needs. Once we confirm your child’s registration to ABA-based services, we will send you a letter letting you know what you can expect next. If there is another service that would be better for your child, we will discuss that with you.
We will ask you to watch our Orientation Session on-line or attend this session in person to learn about the service. Then, we will call you to complete an assessment. This assessment will help us recommend the most appropriate Treatment Groups for your child and family.
There are a number of education opportunities; Toilet Training, Sleeping, Communication and Social Skills and Understanding Behaviour. These are available to you and your family. Go to our Events - Workshop section for a listing of upcoming educational opportunities.
