supports our clients and their families by:

  • Welcoming families to Thames Valley Children's Centre and answering their questions.
  • Performing family strength and needs assessments: gathering relevant information about each client and family when they are first referred to TVCC, to help identify appropriate services at TVCC and/or within the family's community.
  • Helping families to access community resources, such as, Special Services at Home, Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities, Easter Seal Society, food bank, respite services, subsidized programs, etc.
  • Linking families with community supports, such as, advocacy groups, parent groups, volunteer groups, etc.
  • Helping families to find and access funding resources such as, foundations, associations, service clubs, churches, etc.
  • Coordinating services within TVCC or with community partners such as tykeTALK, CPRI, school boards, etc.
  • Assisting families and clients to plan for transitions such as, to school, adult services, or moving to a new community.
