TVCC in partnership with specialists from Children’s Hospital LHSC and the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association, will be providing a specialized clinic for children diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.

This clinic will provide a multidisciplinary team approach including Paediatrics, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nursing and Occupational Therapy. It is designed as a consultative service similar to the multidisciplinary specialty clinics that are currently available here for other diagnostic groups.

Our first clinic was March 10, 2010. We are planning four clinics per year -- March, June, September and December.

Medical referrals should be made only after a child has had a confirmation of diagnosis through genetic testing or in consultation with genetics. Internal referrals will be accepted if the child has an active medical referral on file.
