Therapeutic Recreation provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to develop and maintain skills, knowledge and behaviours in the areas of recreation and leisure. This will enable a child to enjoy their free time, develop life-long leisure skills, be more independent and participate as fully as possible in recreation and leisure activities at home, school and in their community.

Working closely with your child, your family and your child's therapists, an assessment, treatment plan, goals and therapeutic activities are identified to meet individual needs, abilities and interests.
