Please Note: ACS therapists cannot see clients or authorize equipment during these sessions.

PURPOSE:

  1. To provide support to therapists who are IAs with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) or therapists who are in the process of becoming an IA.
  2. To provide support to therapists whose clients currently use AC strategies / techniques / equipment or who have questions regarding whether a client may benefit from the use of AC.
  3. To provide a forum for AC clinical discussions, support and education.

An ACS Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist will be available as needed to discuss case studies and to address questions related to AC. If a full assessment seems appropriate, the referral process will be explained. All referrals are then screened through a referral committee.
