The Family Link newsletter and the Opportunities to Participate brochure will no longer be mailed to individual homes. Accessible Sport Council formed for London and Area
The Official launch of the Accessible Sport Council for London & Area took place on January 29, 2010 at the London Blizzard Invitational Sledge Hockey Tournament. Executives from ParaSport Ontario presented the Council with a $2,500 start-up grant. The new Council will aim to provide various groups and teams with programs in London and the surrounding areas in order to encourage participation in accessible sport and recreation programs. Auxiliary Raises $72,000 for Thames Valley Children's Centre 
The Thames Valley Children's Centre Auxiliary is proud to annouce that the 20th Annual Holiday Home Tour raised a total of $72,000 for Augmentative Communications at Thames Valley Children's Centre. In a special presentation on February 22, 2010, the cheque was presented by members of the Auxiliary to Josh Davies, Client Ambassador for the 2009 Holiday Home Tour and Nicole Tuner, a current client at TVCC. Visit the Auxiliary's website by clicking here. 
   

Meet Josh Davies                                       
Josh was selected as the 2009 Client Ambassador for the Thames Valley Children Centre's Auxiliary's Holiday Home Tour. Josh is a an avid athlete and active in many TVCC programs. Read Josh's story here.

Sibling Workshops
CPRI, Salvation Army, Community Living London and TVCC will be hosting workshops for children who have siblings with disabilities. The next workshop will be held on March 17. Please contact Kim Pancino at 519-685-8700 ext 53463 for more information.

The CADDA conference will provide a place for families and professionals to get real life, evidenced based information.


An Olympian We Admire
On February 25, 2010 Alexandre Bilodeau, Olympic gold-medal winner in the men's moguls, announced that he is making a $25,000 donation to children's cerebral palsy research. Bilodeau's brother Frederic, whom he calls his "inspiration" was born with cerebral palsy. To read the full story, click here


"Reach for the Stars" Birthday Club
"Reach for the Stars" Birthday Club gives kids the opportunity to help others and give back to their community by collecting donations for TVCC in lieu of birthday gifts. Since September, three parties have raised $300 for TVCC.
