Family and Community Services (FACS) is comprised of a team of individuals of various fields of knowledge. FACS supports children and youth with disabilities and their families by offering services that enhance knowledge and skill building to promote participation and quality of life. FACS helps to provide and mobilize the resources needed to strengthen families and their communities. Family and Community Services provides services and supports to benefit children and youth with special needs and their families. FACS extends its reaches directly into families neighbourhoods by transferring knowledge of supporting children and youth with disabilities. Our team includes a diverse range of services, provided according to individual family’s needs. Examples of how we are currently meeting the needs of families and their communities include: Ability Awareness; Behaviour and Learning Support Services; Social Work Counseling and Support; Fitness Centre; Leisure, Recreation and Participation Services; Parent Mentor Service; and Self-Discovery. FACS works with children of all ages and disabilities and their families. |
