“Reach for the Stars” Birthday Club gives kids the opportunity to help others and give back to their community by collecting  donations for TVCC in lieu of birthday gifts.

Funds raised through the “Reach for the Stars” Birthday Club help kids with special needs reach beyond disability.

From special equipment like wheelchairs and communications devices to innovative programs that give TVCC clients a chance to “Reach for the Stars” - your contribution will have a meaningful impact on the 6,500 children and youth we serve.

Getting Your Party Started
1. Contact Thames Valley Children’s Centre Community Relations Department at 519-685-8675 to register your party.
2. TVCC will then send you a Birthday Package which will include brochure, invitations, donation cards and stickers or you can print off these items yourself.
3. Send the invitations out to your guests and request that they bring a donation in lieu of a birthday gift. (This can be in the form of cash, and cheques. Your guests can also go online and donate with a credit card through http://www.tvcc.on.ca/donate.htm
4. After the party, send the donations to TVCC in the envelopes provided. We will then send a tax receipt to the guests who gave a $10 donation or more.

Your Own Personal Website
TVCC is registered with http://www.canadahelps.org/, a website designed to make online charitable giving easier.

You can create your own personal website so your guests can give directly from the home page at CanadaHelps.org.  Giving Pages are micro-websites that you create, which enable you and your supporters to contribute to TVCC. 

You can include a personal message to your party guests, a photo of the guest of honour, and a designation to Thames Valley Children’s Centre as the recipient of your gifts.
